Evaluation
This assignment was called "Creatures" and what we had to do was take pictures of farm animals that we had recently visited, choose six animals and combine them together to make three "creatures". These inspirations would be taken from Harry Potter as we went for a trip with college to visit Harry Potter World. What we also had to do was research ten Harry Potter pictures and write about the composition of them, the shot type, depth of field, what the image actually is, lighting and the mood of the picture and also the key point of interest of that picture. We then had to narrow it down to 8 pictures that we could potentially use and create a contact sheet for them then upload them to blogger. The images that inspired me was the "buckbeak" and the glowing deer pictures that made me create some of my images. For the stonebridge farm research task we just had to research the animals that live there by checking on the website and we also had to check what time of the year certain animals come and go at and we then had to do rules on how to treat the animals like for instance, not using the flash because it could hurt their eyes or knowing that the chickens will bite your fingers if you poke them through the holes and not to be too loud as the loud noises may scare them.
We got told that we must take at LEAST thirty pictures and then make a contact sheet out of them and i took around eighty pictures. I could of taken a lot more but i was playing around with the settings a lot because i couldn't get them right. We then had to create contact sheets for them and annotate them as well. I thought that if i took at least a few good pictures of every animal there then i would have more than enough to work with and i was right as i had a wide selection of photos to choose from and i ended up editing six pictures and merging the six pictures together to make three images and these images would be my "creatures". The shots that i achieved at Harry Potter world were very good. I used an "establishing shot" for the background of my board game which was actually a picture on a wall but it looked really like real life and i focused very hard to get the picture how it was.
For this assignment we were told that we were heading out to the stonebridge farm and we were already told that we obviously needed to be careful around the animals like not poking your fingers through the holes or not being loud and using the flash etc. Just common sense things really. We then had to take the animals into consideration as in how we're going to get the best pictures like if i want to get some good shots of birds flying i can set the camera to the shutter speed mode and if i want to get a high definition capture i can set the camera to close up mode (the flower picture one). If its a bright day then ill probably be looking at an ISO of around 100-200 but if its a dull, grey day I'll be looking at an ISO of around 400-600, depending on the day. The white balance will be easy as you can tell when your pictures are too bright or too dark, you just hold a piece of white paper in front of your camera and set the white balance on your camera. There is also a setting called Program (P) which is for when things are a bit hectic and you don't have time to figure your settings out, Manual (M) is where you personally set everything up yourself which takes a bit longer and then there's AV which is your aperture and also the shutter speed (SP).
For the editing part of this assignment I'll used Photoshop and I mainly used the exposure and saturation tool as well as the stamp tool, the blend tool, the feather tool and cropping images along with the pen tool and then selecting what i've just chosen with the pen tool. inversing or not inversing it and deleting that part that i don't want. Ill also be using the magic wand tool which is very helpful at targeting large parts of areas that i don't particularly want. For the blending part of this i tended to use the feathering tool a lot and i also used a tool called the smudge tool which helped me blend all of the images together whole clone stamping was also involved in certain parts to blend also. I liked using the bucket tool but instead of selecting a colour i could go off that page and on to my image and select the colour of the actual cow or duck etc.
Next time i think i would spend a lot more time to take pictures of the animals and i would also steady my arm more and not just walk around taking pictures or stop for only 4-5 seconds for each animal, basically i would have more patience while taking the photos and not hurry up because I'm being "left behind".
In my honest opinioni would say that my work has met the assignments criteria/brief and has met my original proposal.

Memory Check
Detail four attributes/skills you need to show at an interview, for example: Self-management – your readiness to accept responsibility, flexibility, resilience, self-starting, time management, readiness to improve your own performance based on feedback and reflective learning
1. Confidence. You need this because you need to be able to talk to customers confidently.
2. Time management - You need time management because if you're not on time then you'll get sacked as you'll slow the team down.
3. Being reliable because if your work cant trust you then you may as well not be there.
4. Friendliness and treating everyone the same and being open to every different type of customer you get.
